When Mid Mo ARC was created, it was simply meant to be a backseat position in the rescue industry; a way to be connected to the community and mission that was so dear to me, while holding space for navigating my new role as a mother. In just a short five months, the goals and successes of MM ARC morphed into a connecting agency that assisted over 200 animals find rescue placement, received dire-needed veterinary care, and even facilitated private rehoming for pet owners who wanted an experienced, tailored touch to be sure their pet found the right new home.

From beginning as a supplement to the local shelter, to now servicing all of Mid Missouri rural counties, our ambitions continue to grow and our scope has widened. Our services and dedication not only strive to meet the need of peer rescues and animal care facilities but also reach the underserved and underfunded corners of our community; placing an important priority to highlight and advocate for the members of the public. 

Our future is bright, already setting our sights forward to close the gap between those that need help and those that can provide help.

We don't just talk about change - we ignite it. Our efforts seek to bring together facets of the community, not only to support the animals in need, but to highlight the importance of humanity as well. When humans are supported, their animals are too. That is what sets us apart. That is what will make a difference. By supporting pet owners, it is our hope to reduce the number of pets funneled into the rescue system - prioritizing the focus on ownership retention when best-suited for both parties. This could be as simple as supporting local families with pet food during hard times but also meeting the more expensive needs such as supplementing the cost of urgent or routine veterinary care. Our hopes are that by assisting with these challenges, monetary struggles will not cause an animal to lose its loving home.
